The 1970's were a bad time for music. For the most part, Disco dominated. And for the most part, Disco was soulless drivel. (Actually the soundtrack to Saturday Night Fever had a few really good Disco tunes, but other than that, Disco sucked the life out of music.) However, at the end of the 70's a group of homeless punks banded together to bring soul back to music. The Clash, led by Joe Strummer, reminded the rock world that music wasn't about making money. It was about making a statement. "Stick it to the man!" And no one stuck it to the man like The Clash.
